11-10-13 While walking to the Falcon's game I was struck by this glorious downtown site. Oops, my friends were not thrilled when I almost almost missed the crossing light . Yep, this was a quick shot.
05-01-14 Tree-lined urban paths are one of the many reasons I choose a pedestrian viewpoint while traveling around Atlanta.
05-01-14 A long forgotten stairway in Midtown discovered on a walk.
11-06-11 Entrance to the condo building I call home for the past 30 years - it was a one beer walk to the bars when I was 25 years old! Pretty cool as there are 24 units that face an open air courtyard. We have an elevator and secured underground parking. No getting wet for me during torrential downpours!

01-21-15 Close-up of the Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church lit up in the early dusk.

02-07-15 The Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church steeple was magnificent as I walked up W. Wesley towards Peachtree- black& white version.

The Gallery on P'tree
11-03-13 The Gallery on P'tree: my neighbor of 7+ yrs. For the first 22 yrs in my urban condo I was graced with gorgeous trees & abundant wild life in the tree-filled ravine behind our building. Now my main room picture window looks directly into The Gallery's parking deck.
11-13-12 The Cathedral of St. Philip is across Peachtree street from my condo. This is the view traveling north on Peachtree where the Cathedral makes a statement as the road curves to the right.
Lit up building as sun set
10-13-13 The light was surreal as the Sun began it's descent on a stormy urban evening.
06-27-14 The setting sun shining on this quaint Buckhead home seemed perfect to test the 50 mm lens for landscape-style picture.
02-23-14 The late afternoon sunlight cast over the ivy-covered brick home caught my attention while walking in Buckhead. In mere weeks, this view will be blocked by vibrant foliage.
"green" house in Buckhead
08-09-13 Now this is a "green house" with natural ivy insulation and further protected by a majestic tree's shade.
quaint foliage filled Buckhead bungalo
11-02-13 As I walked towards this cute home I was strongly called to take a picture - note the sky was filled with clouds that seemed to clear out for this picture.
12-27-12 A cool little bungaloo in Buckhead two blocks off P'tree. It can be a bit eery when walking by at dusk, especially when the viscious sounding dogs are at the gate.
02-23-14 A decorative fence fronting a Habersham Road mansion.
12-26-14 A lovely bridge across the stream that meanders alongside Andrews Drive in Buckhead.
Mother Mary Statue
07-22-13 Walking your neighborhood with a new friend reveals previously unseen treasures. As many times as I cut through the Second Ponce Baptist Church parking lot, I had never seen this gorgeous statue just across the street.
02-23-14 A worn, tattered gate welcomes one to explore the gardens long forgotten within the fence.
02-23-13 A lovely bridge over the stream flows into the stairs leading to the mansion, which is in the midst of a renovation.
04-17-14 hmmm.... wonder if this is the Easter Bunny's home?
11-13-12 Those of us with a comfortable bed sometimes forget the importance of sweet, comfortable sleep. It seems this man found some sweet sleep in the sun this afternoon.
still smoking bicycle ship
12/04/13 - The P'tree Road bike shop is still smoking from a massive fire earlier this evening.
P'tree Road Bike Fire
12-04-13 This WAS the door to Peachtree Road Bikes - earlier today it had a cool festive bicycle in lights celebrating the holidays. I walked by it three times today in my normal daily routine.
inside P'tree Bike Shop remains
12-04-13 This picture was captured right before the police office told me to move away as they were investigating the fire cause. It was also smoldering. Much of the debris on the floor is melted bikes.
Peachtree Bikes Moved Sign
09-14-14 .... and the business continues to thrive less than a 1/4 mile away.
12-25-12 An antique VW complete with signs of the wear and tear of long life.

12-25-12 While walking in my Buchead, urban neighborhood, this sign just beckoned a picture. Reminds me of "Signs, Signs, Everywhere a Sign, blocking up the scenery .....
06-20-14 The peaches on W. Westly hanging over the sidewalk are ripe and delicious!
05-04-14 Throughout Atlanta there are a series of cool parks on the flood plains along the many streams flowing within the city proper. Sunnybrook Park is less than a 1/4 mile from my condo and has nice trails.
park near condo
11-02-13 One of the many parks that fill in the mini flood plains throughout Atanta. This park is down the street from my condo.
